Our installers are experts at installing flooring materials, but to ensure a smooth installation they will need a little help from you. Your project manager will tell you when the installers will arrive and give you an approximation of how long the job will take.
Before the installers arrive we ask you to prepare as follows:
-
BEDDING
Strip the linens from the beds and remove pillows. Remove any items stored under beds.
-
CLOSETS
You will need to clear the floor of closets and make sure they are cleared two to three feet in height above the floor. If clothes are hanging too low, you can fold them over or remove them.
-
COMPUTERS, TVs, & ELECTRONICS
Dismantle and remove electronics, including computers and televisions. Lamps should be removed, too. Any electronics that are mounted on the wall can stay in place.
-
DECO SHELVES, CHINA CABINETS, & BOOKCASES
Loose and fragile items on top of shelves (including books) need to be removed so the installers can relocate the pieces of furniture without fear of the surface items falling off.
-
DUST
Tile and wood removal creates dust. You may want to protect some areas with plastic and cover electronics with plastic.
